Kitchen Pantry Organization

⚡️ PANTRY TRANSFORMATION ⚡️

This cluttered kitchen pantry was an enormous pain point for my client. It was chaotic, difficult to see and find items, and as a result, duplicate items were being purchased. When my client came to me, she was frustrated by its layout, overstuffed contents, and how her pantry was functioning.

Here’s how this pantry makeover came together:

  1. The Vision. Together, we chatted about the pantry’s purpose and how it could be best utilized (designing the ideal vision with shelf accessibility). Tip: when organizing a pantry, think about how items are organized in a grocery store — similar items together and easily viewable.

  2. Sort & Group. Next, we emptied out the entire pantry and sorted the items into categories. This improves the food zoning. This pantry’s groupings included: Pasta & Grains, Baking Items, Canned Goods, Snacks, Desserts, Condiments, Coffee & Tea, and Backstock (Beverages & Food).

  3. Contain & Create Space. To up-level this pantry, I made sure to create “negative space” between items (think of it as “breathing room”) and added more uniform containment with Brightroom™ bins, expandable spice racks, and Pillowfort™ wood crates.

The result is a new pantry with an airier, brighter look — no more clutter or chaos!
